About the course:

The MSF On-Street Rider Course is an on-street training and educational experience. Riders experience practical on-street application of the basic physical and mental skills for managing risk. A pre-approved route area is used, which allows for variations with or without a formal turn-by-turn route. Rider skills must be verified per RiderCoach judgment (qualitative and/or quantitative).

ORC is for both newly licensed riders with little or no on-street experience and experienced riders who wish to improve their riding procedures and strategies:

4-Experiences for different levels of rider:

Experience 1 - Residential - Introductory and steppingstone experiences. Light traffic and simple intersections, mild turns and moderate speeds. No Passengers

Experience 2 - Suburban/Commercial/Light Urban - Increased traffic, busier intersections, multiple lanes and slightly higher speeds. No Passengers

Experience 3 - Rural and Multi lane Highways - Heavier higher speed traffic, merging traffic, lane changes, curves, hills and higher speeds (not exceeding speed limits). No Passengers

Experience 4 - Destination Ride - Ride to a pre-determined location and return to the training site. The ride may be several hours long with comfort stops. Experienced riders, all traffic types, higher speeds (not to exceed speed limits), multiple roadway surface conditions, possible construction areas and interstate riding. PASSENGERS ARE ALLOWED and MUST wear the required gear.
